Bultaco Pursang
1979 MK-12 Pursang was the last year Bultaco made their MX model. They had planned to release an “all new” model, the MK-15 in 1980. But unfortunately they went out of business. They did produce 5 model MK-15’s along with various prototypes to get to the final production model. They are all 5 in Spain. So I knew the only way I’d obtain one was to clone one, I actually did three, two in blue and this red one. This one for sale is what I believe is what one may have looked like had Bultaco used their early guidelines from early 70’s of their open bikes being red. Note the “all new” engine in the brochure looks almost identical to the 79 yz 250 engine so that’s what I used. These builds take right at 200 man hours to build. I built this one to race with the best of everything I could find. But I have never started it. It’s a garage queen for me, but very capable of vintage racing.
