Welcome to the world of Motobilia, the overnight sensation 55 years in the making. That is how long I have been immersed in my two wheeled pursuits. During that time I have had that, sold that, ridden that, raced that, broke that, fixed that, rinse and repeat. I even spent 6 years without a motorcycle in my life because I thought I didn’t need one to be happy. Boy was I wrong! Just like the t shirt says “Money can’t buy you happiness but it can buy you motorcycles and that is kind of the same thing.”
Motorcycles are deeply embedded in my DNA and I bring that to this project. I also bring many decades of working in the motorcycle industry along side some of the smartest, most talented folks you can hope to know. I love to spend time with people smarter than myself and in my case that is pretty easy to do. I consider myself lucky to know and to have known many of motorcycling greatest personalities. They are a diverse bunch but they all have that same special DNA. Maybe it’s an extra “chromazoom”, that normal humans weren’t fortunate enough to be granted. Whatever it is, God made motorcycle people to be some of the best.
If you love all things motorcycle, you have new territory to explore and who doesn’t like exploring? We intend to provide Motobilia members a VIP access to the highest levels of the machines, personalities, industry, events and exclusive experiences. Our tag line is our mission statement. Motobilia started as simple buy and sell concept. It has quickly evolved into a far wider and deeper dive into motorcycles, old and new. Memorabilia from all eras/disciplines. Events, museums and private collections from around the globe. Of course, we are also going to introduce you to some of the most interesting, colorful and exceptional people in the sport, the business and the hobby. Riders, racers, mechanics, engineers, collectors, promoters and hometown heroes. After all, it is the people that make motorcycles and motorcycling a truly a great experience.
One such individual is long time friend and world renown photographer, David Dewhurst. David’s moto-journey started in the mid-60’s in the UK and it has been full throttle ever since. Rider turned racer, turned journalist, turned photographer and now author, with the release of the coffee table book “Motocross, The Golden Age”. David has done it all. Exceptional photography will be one of Motobilia’s hallmark efforts. We intend to elevate motorcycles to their true art form.
